What is a Drug Addiction?

A drug can be classified as a medicine or other substance that has a physiological effect on the human body. Drugs can alter one’s behavior and appearance. They are also often an illegal substance which then causes one to have an addiction.  Many drug addictions are simply started by experimenting in social scenarios. When this happens, the user can often become dependent and have the urge to become a frequent user.

  2. Decrease of pain
  3. Slurred speech
  4. Not being able to focus
  5. A lack of good judgement
  6. Confused state
  7. Sniffling or runny nose
  8. Needle marks within arms
  9. Rapid temperature changes in the body
  10. Unaware of surroundings
  11. Bad hygiene
  12. Hallucinations or paranoia

There are a lot of different types of drugs in this world and it’s important for people to recognize the harm they cause. There are a lot of indications to determine if someone is addicted to drugs.  Keep a close eye on problems with work or school, lack of energy, lack of physical appearance and presenting yourself, mood swings and the decrease in saving money.
